Who doesn't love Tretinoin? If used correctly this can be a skincare powerhouse! Tretinoin, also known as Retin-A, Atralin, Renova, Rejuva-A, Stieva-A and many other names, is a prescription topical cream used to treat acne, fight fine lines and wrinkles, lightens the skin, and can help soften rough skin.

Tretinoin can be very drying if used incorrectly, so following your doctor's instructions are crucial while using this products. Many Dermatologists suggest tretinoin use starting at age 25 to keep your skin as young looking as possible.

My favorite combination skin care routine has both a morning and night time regimen. I start my morning with cleansing my face with Dermalogica's Precleanse followed by Skin Resurfacing Cleanser. This is the part that can get a bit tricky (but doesn't have to be), if I am running late (like usual), I will spritz with Antioxidant Hydramist, dab on some Biolumin-C Eye Serum under my eyes, and some Biolumin-C Serum once done I apply my moisturizer/spf combo Dynamic Skin Recovery and head out the door.

My night time routine is fairly simple, I use Ultracalming Cleanser,  tone with Ultracalming Mist add a pea sized amount of Tretinoin (every 2-3 days), and then apply my all time favorite night moisturizer, Sound Sleep Cocoon.

Any skincare routine can be simplified to a 2-3 steps. Remember to always choose a cleanser that is appropriate for your skin. Exfoliate (in this case, the Tretinoin is our exfoliant). Moisturizer needs to be used daily. SPF is essential even if you are working inside. If you can see the light, you are exposed to UV-A & UV-B Rays.
